Our Mission

The purpose of the Green Bank of Colorado is to facilitate a faster and more efficient transition to sustainability and renewable energy deployment.

WHAT IS A GREEN BANK?

Green Banks are financial institutions that leverage public, private, and government capital to speed the deployment of clean energy projects and solutions.

WHO IS THE GREEN BANK OF COLORADO?

Incorporated in Colorado Springs, the Green Bank of Colorado (GBC) is a financing institution organized as a Public Benefit Corporation operating under a three- pronged directive:

  1. Research methods and solutions to a growing environmental problem
  2. Speed the deployment of clean energy with innovative financing tailored specifically for residential and commercial sustainability
  3. Create a faster and more efficient transition to ‘Net-Zero’ in the state of Colorado, the United States, and ultimately the World

WHY GREEN BANKS?

Traditional financing firms and banking institutions are cycling capital in an environmentally unfocused pattern- Green Banks harness available funds and only invest/loan capital to clean energy projects which have a direct impact towards a healthier environment.

WHY NOW?

As the world realizes the imminent need to eliminate our carbon footprint, the energy platform will rapidly change in favor of clean and renewable energy. The goal of green banks is to facilitate this transition with affordable and widely available financing so that the demand is easily met with funds. Deploying this sustainable energy is essential to environmental health, biodiversity, and more!
